Restore the building.
Build the builder.

We build the building and the builder.

We restore churches and make homes safe and accessible for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities who can't afford the work — and we pay people rebuilding their lives to learn the trades on the job while we do it.

Our Story

A second story is something you build.

You don't tear down the first floor to get it — you build on top of what's already standing. That's what we do here, twice over.

We take churches that are falling apart, and homes where a senior, a veteran, or a person with a disability can't safely use their own bathroom or kitchen — buildings with history and heart but not enough hands or money to fix them — and we give them a second story. Restored. Safe. Standing tall again.

And we do the exact same thing for the people who do the work. Most are coming home, coming back, starting over — people with a first story they can't undo. We don't ask them to erase it. We help them build the next one on top of it: paid, on the job, learning real trades from real tradespeople.

They trade a past for a craft. A shot for a skill. When the job's done, the building has a new chapter — and so do they.

We build the building and the builder.

Who We Serve

Safe, usable buildings for people who can't pay for the work.

Churches

Buildings with history and heart that don't have the members or the money to keep them standing.

Seniors

Accessible bathrooms and kitchens so people can age safely at home — where most falls happen.

Veterans

Repairs and accessibility work for those who served and need their homes to work for them.

People with Disabilities

Barrier-free showers, wider doorways, zero-threshold entries — independence at home.

Why It Matters

The people who need this work can't afford it.

59%

of Americans can't cover a surprise $1,000 expense from savings.

$8,400

average cost of an accessible bathroom remodel.

80%

of senior falls happen in the bathroom.

235K

emergency-room visits a year from bathroom accidents.

How It Works

From a building in need to a crew with a future.

1

Request

A church, family, or partner tells us what they need — repairs or accessibility work.

2

Fund

Donations, sponsors, and crowdfunding cover the project — transparently, every dollar shown.

3

Build a Cohort

A crew of trainees — many rebuilding their lives — is selected and screened.

4

Work, Paid

Trainees earn weekly while learning multiple trades hands-on.

5

Place Talent

They find the trade they love, and we help set up the hire with a partner contractor.

Two tracks. Every barrier removed.

All pay comes as a weekly stipend that includes transportation to and from the job site — so not having a vehicle never keeps anyone out.

Track One

Skilled Labor

  • 3–5 trainees per cohort
  • Hands-on across demo, plumbing, tile, finish
  • Taught by working tradespeople
  • Trade skills + a real job placement

Track Two

Project Management

$800–$1,000 / week
  • 1–2 trainees per cohort
  • Runs the job under Coach Kev
  • Learns crews, budgets & scheduling
  • On the path to a GC license via Contractor Envy
Try before you commit — to a whole career. On a single project, apprentices rotate through several trades taught by several contractors. They discover what they're good at and what they love, then we focus their path — and set up the hire.

Everyone deserves a second story. It starts with a choice.

For Contractors

Grow your crew while you build.

The trades are short on labor. We bring vetted, jobsite-ready apprentices onto your project, help you train them on our dollar, and hand you a try-before-you-hire pipeline.

Paid Extra Hands

Apprentices work your project alongside your crew — real help on real jobs.

A Built-In Training Program

A workforce pipeline you didn't have to build, run, or fund yourself.

Why It Works

Led by someone who's been there.

Coach Kev isn't talking theory. He's a licensed general contractor with 19+ years in the field who came back from prison and built it all himself. The people in this program see someone who has been exactly where they are — and made it. That's the difference between a program and a lifeline.
